Why “Back to Tanzania”?
It’s been drawing me back since my first visit in 2006. I came as an American tourist then, eager to see wildlife and reluctantly ready to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro after a friend talked me into it. And on that reluctant climb, I met the man that would be, at first, my reason for returning. He still is. But there are so many other things about Tanzania itself that keep me coming back.
It’s been a long, uncertain journey. Serengeti, Ngoronogoro Crater, Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mafia Island, Pemba Island, Arusha, Morogoro. And several meandering road trips to many corners of Tanzania.
I’m back now, living in Morogoro, Tanzania with my husband. (I’ll call him Tisa.) Join me to hear all about it!
